In Ace News, Australian Tennis Star Ash Barty Is Engaged To Her Partner Of Four Years

Love (off of the tennis court) prevails.

Australian tennis legend and Wimbledon winner Ash Barty is now adding one more title to her name—Mrs.

On November 24, the sports star announced that she is engaged to her long-term partner Garry Kissick in an incredibly adorable series of photos. No, we’re not crying, you’re crying.

Posting to Instagram, Barty can be seen laughing into Kissick’s arms while sporting a seriously stunning engagement ring, alongside the caption: “Future Husband ???? @gazlfc90.”

As for Kissick, he posted an image of himself kissing Barty’s forehead to his social media with the caption, “15/11/2021???? I love you @ashbarty”, leaving us to believe that perhaps they’ve been engaged for an entire week already.

But who is Barty’s new fiancé, you ask? Well, that’s a fair question considering that the public don’t know too much about Kissick, since their social media presence has remained rather low-key.

An aspiring professional golf player, the 30-year-old met Barty back in 2016 at the Brookwater Golf Club, however the pair didn’t go public with their relationship until 2017 when they attended the John Newcombe Awards as a couple.

After four years of dating—and witnessing Barty’s career skyrocket with success—the pair have decided to tie the knot to cap off an incredibly impressive year.

Originally from Ipswich, Barty spent the past 12 months winning five WTA singles titles in Mexico, *the* maiden Wimbledon crown and securing herself a doubles bronze medal at this year’s Tokyo Olympic Games.

All in all, these two certainly deserve to be on cloud nine. And quite frankly, we couldn’t be happier for the couple.
