Ashton Kutcher Opens Up About Mila Kunis And Being A Father To Two Young Children

"Well, now you're gonna act tired? I do it every day.”

Yesterday, Ashton Kutcher opened up about his childhood, divorce with Demi Moore and being a parent of two young children with his wife Mila Kunis.

The actor was in Iowa accepting the Robert D. Ray Pillar of Character Award, which celebrates “good character as a role model,” taking time to point out that he was probably the first person to receive the award who had been arrested for “felony burglary”, been “pulled over by a state trooper while tripping on mushrooms” and splashed all over the press for (reportedly) being an adulterer.

But the sweetest part of his speech was when the 39-year-old opened up about being a father with his wife Mila Kunis.

The couple, who met on the set of That ‘70s Show, keep both their relationship and family life incredibly private. To this day, there are still no public photos of either of their children – two-year-old daughter Wyatt and four-month-old son Dimitri – and the pair rarely ever attend red carpet events together.

Sharing an example from that morning, Kutcher said Kunis “kicks my ass on character every day.”

“I thought I was awesome because I got up early and helped with the kids before she woke up and I let her sleep a little bit,” he continued. “Then she’s like, ‘Well, now you’re gonna act tired? I do it every day.’ But it was a character moment, right? Because she’s right.”

Kutcher emotionally then went on to say fatherhood was “the greatest, greatest lesson in character” in his life. “When my wife and I had these kids and we got to share that amazing, amazing, amazing honor, my first response was, I wanted to call my parents and say, ‘I’m sorry, because I never knew how much you loved me.”
