Jade Akamarre

Jade Akamarre is a highly esteemed artist and art dealer whose passion for art is deeply ingrained in her family’s legacy. Her grandmother and great-grandmother, the late Barbara Weir and the late Minnie Pwerle, are both recognised Australian Aboriginal artists, making it natural for Jade to follow in their footsteps. Today, she is a renowned artist and the Director of Pwerle Aboriginal Art Gallery, known for its exceptional collection of Aboriginal art, which includes works by her own family members.
