The Bachelor’s Cass Wood Responds To Hurtful ‘Stage Five Clinger’ Comments

'It's really hard'

We’re only three episodes into this year’s Bachelor starring Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins but one bachelorette has arguably received the most airtime due to her what some might say, intense, feelings for the Bachelor.

For those of you not up-to-date, Cass and Nick knew each other previously before The Bachelor, however exactly how well they knew each other is unclear.

While Cass says the pair “socialised” previously, Nick said they had a “couple of dates”.

However, now it appears they did know each other quite well, with Cass telling Who that Nick met her family.

“On my birthday last year [Nick] met my brother and I’ve met his brother.”

Whatever their relationship before the show, it compelled the stunning 23-year-old to all but declare her love to the Honey Badger is last night’s episode.

Australia watched on as the former Miss World finalist read (or maybe not) an excerpt out of her diary to him about her feelings.

Needless to say, viewers have been pretty brutal towards Cass, calling her a “stage five clinger” and a “stalker” which she admits has been hard to handle.

“It’s TV and you only get to see what they show,” Cass told Who.

“Seeing things online, like being called a stage-five clinger can be really hard— but I have to put my heart on my sleeve here and be open and honest and tell him how I feel.”
