After last night’s shocking Bachelor finale, which saw Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins dump both Brittany Hockely AND Sophie Tieman, Australia has been left wanting answers.
One theory that has gained momentum as to why Cummins chose to leave the competition without a winner, was that he had wanted to choose Brooke Blurton before she made the shock decision to walk out before the final rose ceremony.
When he was explaining his decision, the Honey Badger said that he “won’t be entering any relationships if I can’t give 100 per cent of me” and said his head was “very cloudy” and he was “a little bit lost”.

However, during an interview with KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O, finalists Sophie and Brittany shot down those rumours with a rather shocking revelation.
“There was a scene unfortunately that you weren’t shown which kind of hurts us at the end of the day,” Sophie revealed.
“After Brooke had decided to leave, he did come to speak to both of us individually and he said, ‘This is exactly how I wanted it to be.’ He looked us in the eyes and said, ‘It was always you that was meant to be coming with me to finale.’”

This appears to confirm that he was going to let Brooke go in that final rose ceremony.
Brittany added that Nick was very final in his decisions and that he didn’t let the producers dictate what he did on the show.
“Nick is just like an animal,” she said. “The man cannot be produced, he cannot be controlled. He makes his own rules.”
“I guess it comes down to, Brooke’s such a beautiful human, but … if Nick wanted anyone there, Brooke, Cass, any girl, they would be there,” Brittany continued. “And if he didn’t want someone there, they’re not there.”

Jackie O then asked her to clarify her comments, asking, “He reassured you that he was always going to let Brooke go at that point?”
To which Brittany replied, “He did. It doesn’t make sense if he wanted her there, he wouldn’t have let her walk out.”
So if this is the case then, it appears Nick just had a complete change of heart about both ladies…
