After episode five of Bachelor In Paradise wrapped up last night, we were shown the true extent of Ciarran Stott's romantic playing field. For those needing a recap, allow us to explain.
Ciarran and Jess' romance has blossomed this season, yet after the arrival of ex-girlfriend Renee, things took a turn. Revealing that Ciarran had in fact left Angie Kent's season of The Bachelorette to be with her, many began questioning his ability to stay faithful. And in last night's episode, our suspicions were confirmed.
After falling ill, Jess took a night off of Paradise, which led Ciarran to spend time with Renee, in her bed no less. If that wasn't enough, Australia's fan-favourite then confessed in a piece-to-camera: "If a bird a bit more spicy walks in, I'm going to be all over it". Not only were his actions just like the typical sleazy persona that women are sadly used to, but Ciarran's downfall from nice guy to bad guy also undoubtedly broke hearts around the nation.
Many online have been rightfully frustrated that our wholesome image of Ciarran has been smashed, but they're also calling out the double standard that Niranga seemingly broke 'guy-code' for simply being friends with Ciarran's ex, Renee—despite him doing the exact same thing with Renee's friend, Jess.
Called out for his actions, Twitter has its own thoughts about Ciarran and his questionable behaviour on-screen, and we can't say that we blame them. Below, we've rounded up some of our favourites.
