Bachelor In Paradise: Luke And Lisa Split Following Shock Exit

All is not well in paradise

They were the couple we were all rooting for. They seemed in it for the right reasons and like they might actually go the distance. But sadly we’ve now learnt Luke McLeod and Lisa Hyde have already split.

On last night’s Bachelor In Paradise we saw the couple grapple with the decision of whether to stay or go, but they ended up leaving to see if they could make it work in the real world.

And it sounds like they did, for a while. But Lisa has now spoken out saying the pair split back in January and not under the best circumstances.

“Since the show, we did date for a few months but we have recently broken up for a certain reason,” she told News Corp. “If a trust is broken within a relationship it’s really hard to go back from that. I want him to be a man and own up to what he did.”

Hyde says things seemed to be going well, they met each others families but it all came to an abrupt holt.

“I thought we were going well … unfortunately that’s not the case,” she added, but wouldn’t go into further detail.

McLeod later confirmed the split, saying pressure of the situation and the need to keep their relationship a secret around was “difficult” to deal with.

“We had a lot of pressure on ourselves. It’s this weird situation … [We] can’t be in a normal relationship. Because you have to be in this secretive relationship — if people see you together and you’re out then that’s the show gone. It was a tough space and difficult to deal with.

“There’s two sides to the story and all that. I’m disappointed it didn’t work out. I genuinely want all the best [for her].”
