Connor had asked Shannon to leave Paradise early with him on Tuesday night to begin their relationship in the 'real world' beyond the cameras.
"I was really invested. I was 100 per cent in. And so I was pretty hurt watching [Tuesday’s] episode because I genuinely felt it with Connor," Shannon reflected.
"I was open to moving to the US but afterwards when we were planning to meet up in Hawaii I was the one organising everything and I didn’t feel like it was getting reciprocated," she added.
Connor spoke to Mamamia about the couple's split: “I don’t want to use the word ghosted because that sounds like I just cut her out of my life and didn’t want anything to do with her. Like I said, throughout this short condensed process, you need a set up rate in terms of growing with that person and understanding about that person, because again – me being in America, and her being in Australia – if I don’t know anything about her, in terms of what I am looking for."
