Australian reality TV couple Matthew ‘Matty J’ Johnson and Laura Byrne have announced their engagement after finding love on The Bachelor in 2017.
Taking to Instagram, the couple announced the exciting news while on their ‘Babymoon’.
“You are my favourite everything @matthewdavidjohnson. YES to a lifetime of love and flamboyant dance moves with you my honey,” Laura wrote alongside a selfie of the pair.
Laura’s gorgeous boho-inspired Larsen Jewellery ring, the same designer behind the ring Matty J gave Laura on The Bachelor in 2017, features an incredible pear-shaped rose cut diamond. The pear-shaped diamond is accentuated by a half-halo of 2.5pt diamonds, all diamonds are conflict free and ethically sourced.
“It was so great to work with Matty again, we loved working with him on The Bachelor,” the designers said. “We feel privileged that he chose to return to us to custom make Laura’s engagement ring. He came to us with a beautiful vision of the ring he wanted, and we think Laura may love it even more than she loves the ring Matty and I designed for her back in 2017!”
Meanwhile Matty took to the social platform to share a sweet video of the moment.
He wrote, “There’s absolutely no one else I’d rather grow old and senile with. I can’t wait to start a family together and now I can’t wait to be your husband!”
Matty and Laura’s engagement news comes after announcing back in December that they were expecting their first child.
