It’s only been a few weeks since the finale aired, but The Bachelorette’s Elly Miles and her season winner Frazer Neate have been dealing with rumours of a breakup since they stepped off the set.
Partly fuelled by the lack of couple photos shared to their Instagram pages (note: they live in separate cities), fans of the franchise have been speculating that the two are no longer together, particularly as rumours surfaced alleging that Frazer cheated and “slept with a few people after the Bachelorette finished filming”, per So Dramatic! podcast.
Now, The Bachelorette herself, Elly Miles, has taken to Instagram to set the record straight. Doing a two-party IGTV Q&A with her sister and fellow Bachelorette, Becky Miles, the younger sister answered a question asking whether her relationship with Frazer was still going strong.
In response, Elly said: “Frazer and I are going good, we’re still together. I am going to move to Queensland in January—that’s the plan.”
She also admitted that the couple have felt the pressure coming from fans and tabloids.
“It’s honestly really hard. I haven’t had a boyfriend in such a long time, and now I’ve got a boyfriend and someone that I really want to be with, and I’ve just got so many people invested in it, and following us along, and wanting to be involved,” she continued.
“It’s overwhelming, and we’re still so fresh, and so new, and still getting to know each another, and so excited to do that—and live in the same city. But it’s heaps. It feels quite intrusive to be honest.”
Elly also continued on to say that she thought that sharing a video of her and Frazer to Instagram to social media would have assured fans, and that she was surprised when it didn’t.
“It’s funny, it only came out last week when I did a cute little reel of us together, to be like ‘yeah no, we are together!’ and then I get people [messaging] the next day being like ‘are you guys still together?’” she said.
“Really? It’s like, we are! Like, you’ve got to remember we’re doing long distance as well.”
