Obama Calls For More Women Leaders Because “Men Seem To Be Having Some Problems”

To put it mildly

During a visit to Paris, Barack Obama announced that he wants to see more women in power around the world because men “seem to be having some problems these days.”

Aren’t they just.

The former US President added: “Not to generalise but women seem to have a better capacity than men do, partly because of their socialisation,” reports the Huffington Post.

Without naming anyone in particular, Barack Obama seemed to be referring to the astonishing number of high-profile men who have been accused of sexual misconduct since the Harvey Weinstein scandal broke earlier this year.

In the US, numerous members of Congress have been accused of sexual harassment and assault, leading to various disciplinary actions.

His comments come after a candidate running to become Attorney General in the US state of Michigan released a campaign ad encouraging citizens to vote for her precisely because she doesn’t have a penis.

“If the last few weeks have taught us anything, it’s that we need more women in positions of power, not less,” Democrat Dana Nessel says in the ad. “So when you’re choosing Michigan’s next attorney general, ask yourself this: Who can you trust most not to show you their penis in a professional setting? Is it the candidate who doesn’t have a penis? I’d say so.”
