According to the odds, the pair are the frontrunners touted to take out the series and pocket $100,000 in cash.
But more than that, the pair look like they'll be taking home something else that's much more meaningful: a life-long friendship.
Karly, a 28-year-old hairdresser from Western Australia, was overjoyed to be paired with Aaron, a 30-year-old traindriver, from the get go.
"TRAIN BOY! I knew it! I Choo choo choooooseee you 🚂 Between my throat spray and your nasal spray, we are sorted 😂 love you already azza, Lesss go baby!" She shared on Instagram.
"Delighted to have been paired with the beautiful @karllyfisher to kick off our journey on @BATG," Aaron responded.
As the season has progressed, so too has the pair's sweet friendship.
One particular challenge stood out when Aaron was required to confront his fear of dogs, a feat he was incredibly nervous for. But Karly was his rock.
"Can't thank you enough @karllyfisher for helping me get through this. I knew how much you wanted to run with Nova today and it meant a lot to me that you handed over the lead to me. Thank you for being such an amazing partner!"
So are they still 'together'?
While there was no major indication that Karly and Aaron were together together on the show, there's no doubt they maintain an incredibly close friendship.
This was made clear when Aaron finally underwent his makeover during finals week. Karly was visibly moved when Aaron stepped out with a renewed sense of confidence in himself. She later penned an Instagram tribute to her partner: "It’s azzaz world, and we’re just living in it," she began.
"This so was emotional for the both of us, as we said from the start that if we get to the makeovers, we would be happy! Aaron is so truely one of a kind, His heart and soul goes far beyond his physical appearance, but this make over was the cherry on top. You go you sexy Aaron-cini ball, time to start livin."
It's this, more than anything else that will stand them in good stead to win the entire series. As we all know, love comes in so many forms—and no matter whether it's romantic or platonic, it's clear these two hold plenty of love for each other.
