Bec Judd Shuts Down Body Shamers And Reveals Exactly What She Eats In A Day

"Scrutiny of my body has been going on my entire life"

Fashion designer Bec Judd has opened up about the toll online bullying has taken on her mental health throughout her career. The mum-of-four has been the target of body shamers for the last eight years, admitting the negativity has been a constant factor in her daily life. 

“Scrutiny of my body has been going on my entire life,” Bec, 36, told Sunday Life.

Bec admits that her slim figure is just the result of genetics rather than crazy dieting. 

“Does it get boring? Yeah, it gets boring, but look at my family, we’ve all got the same legs! It’s boring, but I don’t think it’s going to go away. I’ve just learned to deal with it.”

Bec who has four children with former AFL star Chris Judd (Oscar, seven, Billie, five, and twins Darcy and Tom, two) says the haters have taught her to be resilient. Adding that her strategy is simple: “Share the real me.”

“Most of the audience out there who’ve been following on Postcards, or the weather on Nine or Instagram, have been following me for eight years, and see I’m still the same,” she said of her body shape.

“Occasionally, some blow-in will have a go, but I’m good at blocking and deleting,” she told the outlet. Bec also deleted her Facebook and Twitter accounts after too much attention was being paid to her skinny frame.  

For the record, Bec says she has a hearty appetite and isn’t afraid to treat herself.

“I eat dessert every night,” she told Mamamia. “I also bake a lot, so I am quite partial to a piece of banana cake with cream cheese frosting or a chocolate cupcake.”

For breakfast, the 35-year-old opts for a bowl of muesli and “a strong latte”, followed by a cup of green tea and fruit with cheese and crackers. Refueling at lunch with brown rice sushi or toasted focaccia. When it comes to dinner Bec has a family-friendly meal of pasta, or steak, chicken or fish with a side salad and brown rice.
