These Two Australian Bars Have Just Been Voted In The World’s Top 50

Bottom's up!

If you’ve been wondering where to go out for drinks this weekend, we’ve got you covered. The official list of The World’s Best Bars 2017 has been released and not one but two Australian bars have been ranked in the top 50.

That’s right, Sydney’s The Baxter Inn came in at 45th in the world and Melbourne’s Black Pearl was not only voted the best in Australasia but also ranked 22nd and was awarded Legend of the List for the most consistent performance.

For those of you headed overseas soon, you might want to know that the UK hosts three of the top four bars in the world, with American Bar at London’s Savoy Hotel ranking the best in the world. The NoMad in NoMad Hotel NYC ranked first in North America and third in the world and Singapore’s Manhattan ranked the first in Asia and seventh in the world.

The highly anticipated list, organised by William Reed Business Media, was released yesterday at a live ceremony in London’s Southwark Cathedral and with an Academy of over 500 judges from 55 different countries, it serves as the world’s most notable guide to the who’s who of bars and restaurants around the world.

Of course, Australia’s success comes as no surprise, whether its post-work drinks at Opera Bar or clinking your champagne glasses at The Baxter Inn, you’re guaranteed a good time.

In fact, we think this calls for a celebration…
