When you’re an actor or actress who has devoted multiple years of their life to a project, forming an inimitable connection with those around you is inevitable.
In many cases, this off-screen bond between castmates manifests itself onto our screens and when the cameras stop rolling it’s hard to fathom a world without your beloved fictional duos. So, on the rare occasion that we’re blessed with a cast reunion from a cult classic film or television series, you know that our nostalgia-loving hearts are going to swell.
Whether it be a celebratory get-together or a catch up to take selfies for the ‘gram, there’s something truly endearing about cast reunions. If you’re someone who craves 90’s nostalgia and picture-perfect selfies, then look no further for the greatest cast reunions of all time.
1. Saved By The Bell
Thirty years on and the Saved By the Bell Cast have proved that friendship really does endure the test of time. Mario Lopez, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Elizabeth Berkley, and Tiffani Thiessen all reunited for a dinner in California to celebrate the show’s 30th anniversary.
2. The Vampire Diaries
Nina Dobrev might have left The Vampire Diaries before the series wrapped, but her love her castmates is still strong. Back in December of 2017, Nina posted a photo of her and former co-star Paul Wesley, captioning: “NYC when it’s snowing is full of serendipitous run ins and magical reunions. Like this one,” tagging the post “#TVD forever.”
3. Will & Grace
In 2016, the cast of the groundbreaking sitcom Will & Grace – Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally – joined forces for a video which was presented as a “new scene” from the hit series to encourage voters in the United States to get to the polls. Prior to their epic union, the cast hadn’t been in the same room together since the taping of the series finale, which aired in 2006.
4. High School Musical
All but one member of the High School Musical cast (Zac Efron, we’re looking at you) made our Wildcat dreams come true when the cast reunited in a Los Angeles high school gym to celebrate the Disney Channel movie’s 10-year anniversary.
5. One Tree Hill
It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly 16 years since One Tree Hill first hit our screens so when everyone’s cast favourites – Chad Michael Murray and James Lafferty included – reunited in 2016, OTH fans were ecstatic.
6. Clueless
Earlier this year multiple members of the Clueless cast reunited at the Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo to participate in a fan panel in honour of the film’s milestone.
7. Wizards Of Waverly Place
It was the show that catapulted Selena Gomez to stardom but there’s nothing but love between the former Wizards of Waverly Place. The cast got together for a five-year union at David Henrie’s (AKA Justin Russo’s) wedding.
8. Gossip Girl
If there’s been a gaping Gossip Girl-shaped hole in your life ever since the series wrapped in 2012, then this throwback will be sure to make your Upper East Side dreams come true. Earlier in March, our favourite duo Michelle Trachtenberg and Leighton Meester (Better known for their roles as Georgina Sparks and Blair Waldorf) met up for a murder mystery and it’s safe to say we’re getting some serious nostalgia.
9. Harry Potter
Our muggle hearts might have been in a perpetual state of sadness after the Harry Potter series came to an end but the Hogwarts witches and wizards are still the best of friends. Last year, Emma Watson, Tom Felton, and Matthew Lewis all reunited for a belated outing.
10. Pretty Little Liars
Several members of the Pretty Little Liars cast attended the Revelations Endgame held in Manchester where they posed with fans and signed autographs.
11. The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants
It’s been almost fifteen years since the debut of the teenage drama The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants and the four female leads as are still as tight as ever. There has been an abundance of reunions since filming wrapped all those years ago, the most recent being to celebrate America Ferra’s pregnancy.
12. Mean Girls
When the internet got wind of a mini Mean Girls reunion between Lindsay Lohan and Jonathan Bennett, it’s no exaggeration to say that it imploded with excitement. MTV brought the duo back together for an epic reunion, where Bennett hosted a 30-minute interview for Lohan’s reality series, Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club, to discuss all thing from her new life in Greece to her upcoming hospitality venture.
13. Charlie’s Angels
Lucy Liu reunited with Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore during her Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony on Wednesday (May 1) in Hollywood. Fellow Charlie’s Angels co-star Demi Moore was also in attendance.
14. Romy And Michele
It’s been over 20 years since Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow delivered iconic performances in Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, and now they’ve reunited for a truly incredible photo. “Most thrilling moment for me at a party EVER!” Kudrow captioned the reunion photo. “Genuinely GOOD person @mirasorvino see you soon.”
15. Chandler & Monica
Our favourite couple of all time has reunited! Chandler and Monica Bing are BACK TOGETHER people! “Guess who I had lunch with today….I KNOW!! Could I BE any happier? #realfriends,” Courtney Cox wrote to Instagram.
