Nine years in Hollywood time is basically an eternity, and this week Beyonce and Jay Z are celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary.
To mark the occasion, Beyonce’s mum Tina Lawson shared a never-before-seen snap of the couple on their big day.
“9 years already??? Congratulations to the Carters❤❤on their Anniversary,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Thats my arm fixing the dress lol,” she added. “Thats my minister Rudy Rasmus who married Solange, Beyonce and me❤”.
The couple tied the knot in 2008 in front of 40 family and friends at the rapper’s 13,500-sq.-ft. penthouse in New York City.
Lawson famously designed her daughter’s dress for the big day, but in hindsight realised it probably wasn’t the best idea.
“She was so sweet to let me do that,” Lawson said on Today in June 2016. “She came back later one day and she said, ‘You know, when my daughter gets married, I’m going to let her pick out her own dress.’ Maybe she wasn’t so excited about it at the time, but she’s a sweetheart.”
Beyonce also celebrated her anniversary by releasing a new song, titled ‘Die With You’ and accompanying video complete with home video footage.
