Bill Cosby Has Been Found Guilty Of Drugging And Sexually Assaulting A Woman

In the first major celebrity trial of the #MeToo movement

Actor Bill Cosby has been found guilty of drugging and then sexually assaulting Temple University employee Andrea Constand. The disgraced America’s Dad star faces up to 10 years in prison.

The verdict comes after a two-week trial during which five other women testified against Cosby, smh.com.au reports, while more than 60 women so far have said that the 80-year-old drugged and sexually assaulted them over a period of five decades.

Constand’s case is the only one to have been taken to court, after Cosby fed her three blue pills then sexually assaulted her while she was unable to fight back in 2004.

Cosby faces up to 10 years in prison on three counts of aggravated indecent assault, meaning he could spend the rest of his life behind bars.

The ABC reports that Cosby has been released on $1.3-million bail pending an appeal, despite prosecutors arguing he poses a flight risk.

The suggestion prompted Cosby to yell out in court, calling  district attorney Kevin Steele an ‘asshole’ and saying he was ‘sick of it.’
