In case we needed any further proof that toxic masculinity was alive and well: The Bachelorette Australia’s Bill Goldsmith has openly slut-shamed Bachelor In Paradise’s Alisha Aitken-Radburn following her and Glenn’s adorable finale last night.
That’s right. “Dog Park” Bill, who appeared in Paradise last year, took to social media shortly after the finale to trash the loved-up couple’s happy ending, who confirmed on Instagram that they are still very much still together since filming finished nine months ago, with Alisha having moved in with Glenn in Perth.
And here’s where the twist and Bill’s supposed ‘reasoning’ came in: per reality TV podcast So Dramatic!, shortly after leaving Fiji, Glenn and Alisha briefly split and dated other people. Fair enough.
Well, not according to Bill, apparently, who last night shared a screenshot Daily Mail Australia’s report on the story, which featured the headline: “Bachelor In Paradise shock scandal! Love birds Glenn and Alisha ‘hooked up’ with other people after leaving Paradise.‘”
As captured by Bachelor fan account @BachieFunny, it was revealed that Bill also captioned the article:
“‘Hooked Up’ @DailyMailAu you are being too kind, wait ’til you hear the full details hahaha #SheWasThirsty 💦 🍆.”
Despite the fact that the headline took aim at both Glenn and Alisha, it was Alisha that Bill singled out with his unsolicited ‘hot take’, making her supposedly seeing other people somehow more ‘scandalous’ while teasing the really disgusting notion that he has ‘details’ to share.
Charming, right?
His profile has since been put on private, and neither Alisha nor Glenn have openly commented on Bill’s post or the rumours.
They did, however, share an adorable montage video of their time together since being in the ‘real world’ set to Coldplay’s Paradise, and it is the wholesome viewing we need to rid ourselves of all things Bill.
