The award-winning songstress teased the news via Instagram Stories by posting a series of iconic photographs of Bond girls from years gone by before finally confirming the news on her grid.
Alongside the iconic 007 logo, she wrote: "No Time To Die JAMES BOND. AND I AM SINGING THE THEME SONG. WHAAT."
The last two Bond theme songs, Adele's 'Skyfall' and Sam Smith's 'Writing On The Wall', both won an Oscar meaning she could well follow in their footsteps.
The news is sure to come as a surprise to some with rumour rife that Beyoncé would take on the prestigious job after she posted a photograph of herself supping a martini at the 2020 Golden Globes.
No Time To Die will grace a cinema screen near you in April 2020.
