Margot Robbie might have been cast to play Barbie in a live-action remake, but if there is any other Hollywood contender fit to take on the iconic doll it would be Gossip Girl alum, Blake Lively. And it looks like her daughter agrees.
The 33-year-old actress, and mother-of-three daughters, took to her Instagram Stories this week to document a typical morning in her and husband Ryan Reynolds’ household, which includes her 4-year-old Inez insisting her famous mum dress up in everything pink… at 5am.
Sharing a mirror selfie inside her (very impressive) wardrobe, Lively shows herself in a pink-and-white dress, colourful jumper and heels, adding the song “Barbie Girl” by Aqua, hilariously captioning: “When you try to get your 4 year old dressed but they insist on dressing you instead…at 5am.”
The results? They’re pretty iconic.
While Lively and Reynolds tend to keep their home life out of the public eye—only breaking such rules to mercilessly troll one another—the Deadpool actor recently got candid about raising three small daughters.
The couple are parents to James, Inez and Betty, and even Reynolds admits he “never in a million years would have imagined” raising all girls.
While promoting his new film The Croods: A New Age, the actor caught up with Mario Lopez’s children for Access Hollywood, sharing: “I come from all boys. I have three older brothers. I’m the youngest of four boys so for me to have three daughters has been such a ride. I love every second of it.”
He added he “love[s] being a girl dad.”
When asked what his best parenting tip would be, Reynolds explained: “I just try to be as present as possible. We don’t split up like I shoot movies and my wife shoots movies and we go travel all over the place and we just all go together. I think that’s been the best part of it is that we really don’t spend a lot of time apart. I get to spend a lot of time with my girls.”
