Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are officially the cutest red carpet couple, with the pair snapped on popular Instagram blog Humans of New York while at the Met Gala.
Among HONY’s collection of other romantic profiles, the glamorous pair are a stand-out, Ryan veering away from his usual comedic personality to tribute his wife.
“She always responds with empathy. She meets anger with empathy. She meets hate with empathy,” affirmed the 40-year-old.
Touching on a “fractured relationship” with his father, Ryan attributed Blake as helping him find closure.
“Before he died, she made me remember the things I didn’t want to remember. She made me remember the good times.”
Jim Reynolds passed away in 2015 after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease.
The golden photo of the loved-up couple, shows Ryan coordinating a powder blue tie with Blake’s shimmering Versace gown, trimmed with a train of blue feathers.
“She’s made me a more empathetic person,” Ryan resolved.
But this is not the first time Ryan has swooned over his wife of five years, saying on The Late Show with David Letterman that his capacity of love only grew after the birth of the couple’s first daughter, James.
“I’m not one for vomiting declarations of sentiment out across the airwaves, but when we had that baby, I fell more in love with my wife than I’d ever been in my entire life. I couldn’t even believe it.”
Even if Ryan thinks that his sentiments are vomit-worthy, we really can’t get enough.
