The mother-daughter duo aren't the only celebrity fans Bleusalt counts, either. Jennifer Lopez, Ashley Benson and Amelia Hamlin have all been spotted in the brand's signature collections. The brand also offers men’s clothing approved by the likes of Patrick Dempsey and Pierce Brosnan
In 2017, Cindy Crawford found an eco-friendly brand she loved so much, she requested the founder, Lyndie Benson, design her a pair of pants (aptly named "The Cindy Pant") in their signature fabric. Now, Kaia Gerber is following in her famous mum's footsteps, collaborating with Malibu-based brand Bleusalt to create the most luxurious pair of leggings.
The "Kaia Pant", personally created for the model, is a legging that flares into a bell bottom and is made from an ultra-soft sustainable fabric derived from Beechtree - basically, a fabric just as soft as cashmere but environmentally-friendly (and washable!). The style is available in five colours - black, navy, grey, white and caramel, with Benson saying the new style can be worn "anytime, anywhere."
“I was so excited when our long-time family friend, Lyndie, approached me with the idea of The Kaia Pant,” Gerber says of the design. “Bleusalt encompasses effortless sustainable style.”
With every pair sold, the brand will be donating 20 per cent of the proceeds to Gerber's charity of choice, A Sense of Home, an organisation which works to prevent homelessness by creating homes for people who have aged out of the foster care system.
"When the decision was made to donate 20 per cent of every pant sold to A Sense Of Home, an organisation very near and dear to my heart, it made this design even more meaningful to me," Gerber added.
