It’s little wonder that today’s audiences resonated with Queen’s message, gender-bending fashion, and high-production stadium performances. For example, their subversive 1984 music video for I Want To Break Free – which was banned by MTV upon its release – has more than 258 million views on YouTube today.

And now the evidence is clear, with the search for Queen tribute tattoos surging 1400% on Pinterest since the film’s release. Freddie Mercury, who sang hopeful lyrics like “you’re yet to have your finest hour,” is a hero for a new generation. And now the proof is evident, with the searches for Queen tribute tattoos skyrocketing by 1400% on Pinterest since the film’s release.

Upon searching for Queen tattoos the most popular tributes are of Freddie’s silhouettes and handwritten signature followed closely by song lyrics. 

In Pinterest’s annual trend breakdown, Pinterest also unveiled the most searched tattoo themes in Australia. the top three are; Symbolic tattoos +314%, Lip tattoos +204% and Mountains tattoo +141%
