The moment was captured by Getty Images photographer Emma McIntyre, who told People, “[Brad] called out ‘Aniston!’ and she turned around and they embraced and congratulated each other.”
“It was a moment of two accomplished people at the top of their game, acknowledging each other’s successes and genuinely seeming happy to see one another,” said McIntyre.
According to a source who spoke to ET, Brad has "apologized" to Jen for some of the past issues in their relationship, which may be the reason behind their newfound friendship.
"Brad is completely sober now and is in such a different place than he was when they were together," said the source. "Brad is truly an introspective guy who has worked hard on himself. He has apologized to her for many things he felt were his issues in their relationship. He truly takes ownership for his mistakes and that has changed their relationship with each other today. They both have moved on."
But before we get ahead of ourselves, dreaming of a reconciliation, another source told ET that they’re just good friends. "Right now they just love and adore each other and have been much closer friends since their divorces," said the source about the current status of their relationship. "They have a very mature relationship that has evolved over time because they both have experienced marriages that didn’t work out."
