In the days leading up to the inauguration, we could all use some cheering up – and the internet has come to the rescue with the best Trump humour we’ve seen since the beloved Joe Biden memes.
Parody twitter account Bridget Trump’s Diary gives a glimpse into the inner workings of the President Elect’s mind, care of London comedian Tiff Stevenson.
Written in the style of Bridget Jones’ diary entries – “am doing so well at top super new job that hasn’t started yet” – the tweets reveal some remarkable similarities between Bridget and Trump (with one notable exception being that we all love Bridget).
“They are both utterly consumed with how other people see them and they are constantly chasing after the wrong guy,” Stevenson told Mashable. “They share a love of words and exclamation marks too, such as vile!, tremendous!, media!, winning!, stupid!, weak!, smart!, loser!, love!”
