Miley Cyrus’ split with Liam Hemsworth quickly got messy when photos of the 26-year-old singer showed her kissing Kaitlynn Carter in Italy, just hours before her rep confirmed the end of her eight-month marriage.
Carter has just gone through a break up of her own, ending her one-year marriage to The Hills star Brody Jenner earlier this month. The two women, who reportedly knew each other through mutual friends, have been travelling through Italy with Cyrus’ older sister, Brandi Cyrus, for the past week taking to Instagram to share photos of their trip.
After photos surfaced of Cyrus and Carter kissing, Jenner took to Instagram to post a photo with a crypic caption: “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.” He then took to the comments section, replying to Brandon Thomas Lee, writing, “Watch out! Pics of Liam and I holding hands on the beach coming soon.”
But that’s not all, folks. Cyrus quickly responded to the pair, writing, “Go take a nap in your truck and cool off #HotGirlSummer.”
Meanwhile, Hemsworth was asked how he’s feeling about the split by a photographer in Byron Bay, Australia. Instead of joking around like the others, the actor responded truthfully with, “You don’t understand what it’s like. I don’t want to talk about it, mate.”
