Sorry To Tell You, But Bubble Skirts Have Returned

The '00s trend is making its comeback

When it comes to early ’00s fashion, there are some things we’d rather forget. Celebrities on the red carpet belted their t-shirts, styled skirts over jeans and of course, succumbed to the bubble skirt trend. The style had a hemline that looped around and came back up, forming a shape similar to that of the bubble (or unstuffed pillow). The bubble skirt has been gone for years now, but it seems to be making its resurgence.

In his Cruise 2020 collection, Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière included a handful of bubble skirts and from there celebrities have embraced the revival. Millie Bobby Brown and Sophie Turner have donned it, and even Celine Dion took it for a ride around Paris just last week wearing Alexandre Vauthier.

Take a look at some of the latest celebs embracing the bubble skirt trend.
