For its latest Serpenti collection, Bulgari tapped into none other than Yoon Ahn. The jeweller and designer, who co-founded her own label Ambush with her partner Verbal, is no stranger to collaboration, lending her creative touch to brands such as Nike, Off-White and Sacai. Now, the Tokyo-based designer has channelled her talents into a new partnership, reinterpreting Italian luxury house Bulgari’s iconic Serpenti in a capsule collection of accessories.
When asked about her capsule collection with Bulgari, Ahn said she “wanted to express the bold and contemporary character of Serpenti. Snakes are wondrous and fascinating creatures of nature but with Bulgari, they also became a symbol of glamour in constant evolution. Natural beauty meets human creation, all guided by a contemporary aesthetic.”
The capsule collection contains a mix of bags, coin purses, wallets and a new bracelet, all in vibrant colours, soft shapes and cool designs in keeping with Ahn's unstoppable creative force. Ahn's vision included three new styles: the Serpenti shoulder bag, the versatile Serpenti belt bag and the dangerously tempting Serpenti minaudière.
Its digital campaign, shot by Tyler Mitchell, featured Bella Hadid, Xio Wen and Ellen Rosa.
