Elsewhere in the interview which was focused around her upcoming movie, Mickey and the Bear, Camila touched on the backlash she received upon posting images of Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart to Instagram, something many took as rebuttal to those criticising her and Leo's age gap (they have a 22-year age gap while Bacall and Bogart had a 25-year age gap).
“I’ve been starting to show my sense of humour more,” she said. “People will always have awful things to say because there’s a sense of entitlement and safety behind the screen, but trust me, you don’t need to be that angry.”
At the time of the post, Camila took to Instagram Stories to address the hate, saying: "Good morning people and happy Friday. I just read some of the comments on my Instagram and...my God, people are so mean and full of anger with people that they know nothing about."
If the rumours are to believed, perhaps it won't be too long before Leo is upgraded from Instagram Boyfriend to Instagram Husband.
