Delevingne is known for her edgy model-off-duty style, and has an undeniable British cool girl feel.

The Met Gala is held annually on the first Monday of May as a fundraising event for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum. The gala has run since 1948, with the famous annual themes coming in to effect in 1995 and corresponding to the theme of that year’s exhibition at the Costume Institute.

As with previous themes, like 2013’s Punk: Chaos to Couture and more recently, 2018’s Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, this year’s theme Camp: Notes on Fashion provides guests with a wide variety of inspiration. The theme was drawn from Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay Notes on Camp. The essay details an aesthetic marked by excess, outlandish performance and a sense of self aware bad taste.
