Carole Middleton Just Had A Bubblegum Pink, Matching Moment With Her Daughter Kate Middleton

Mother-daughter dressing never goes out of style.

When it comes to fashion, Carole Middleton is turning to her daughter, Catherine, for a helping hand.

On June 14, the mother of the Duchess of Cambridge arrived for the first official day of this year’s Royal Ascot in a pretty-in-pink dress that was once owned (and worn) by her daughter, Kate.

The Duchess and future Queen first wore the ME+EM bubblegum pink shirt dress the year prior, when meeting five-year-old Mila Sneddon, who was diagnosed with leukaemia.

The pair had previously spoke on the phone for Kate’s ‘Hold Still’ photography series, when Kate found out that Mila’s favourite colour was pink.

“I have to make sure I go and try to find myself a pink dress,” Kate said, as per People. “Hopefully, when one day, Mila, we’ll get to meet and then I’ll remember to wear my pink dress for you.”

And that she did, donning the colour block dress when she met Mila in May 2021. Matching the Duchess, Mila wore a light pink dress as well, paired with a tiara in her hair.

“I want to give you a big, squeezy cuddle,” Kate told Mila, adding, “I love your dress. Can you give it a twirl?”

As for Carole, she’s privy to a memorable fashion moment. Last year, she even let her future daughter-in-law, Alizée Thevenet, wear her own wedding gown for her walk down the aisle when marrying Carole’s son, James Middleton.

“When talking about dresses with Carole and sharing ideas during lockdown for inspiration, I tried on her wedding dress and fell in love with it,” Alizée told Hello! at the time. “It fitted my perfectly and was exactly what I wanted.”

Carole, who founded a party supply business called Party Pieces, attended this year’s Royal Ascot alongside her husband, Michael. And their daughter, Kate, and her husband Prince William will most likely be attending the horse race before the five-day event concludes.

Until then, we can only hope for more mother and daughter matching moments.
