The Creative Minds Behind Netflix’s ‘You’ Are Bringing Another Caroline Kepnes Thriller To Life

Prepare to be on the edge of your seat

It’s been months since we watched as Joe Goldberg and Love Quinn began their chilling love story on Netflix’s murderous drama Youand while we’re holding out to see how their romance unfolds—including the arrival of their first child—the creators behind the hit series have got their sights set on another murder mystery.

Showrunner Sera Gamble is reuniting with You screenwriter Neil Reynolds to create a new thriller series based on another book by author Caroline Kepnes—who published the You novel in 2014.

The upcoming project will be based on the novel Providence and is being developed for the Peacock streaming service, according to Deadline

Providence tells the story of Jon Bronson, who, at the age of 12, mysteriously vanished along with five other children in his class. But in a dark twist, ten years later he reappears as a grown man with no recollection of his adolescence. Chloe Sayers, his childhood crush, never lost hope that he was still out there. Jon attempts to re-enter life and reconnect with Chloe, but he quickly realises that whatever happened to him during those lost years granted him horrific supernatural abilities, ones that prevent him from being physically close to Chloe.

The book was published in 2018 by Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner’s Random House imprint Lenny Books and is Kepnes’ third book following You and its sequel Hidden Bodies

Gamble and Reynolds will also serve as executive producers on the series, so prepare to once again be on the edge of your seat.

Meanwhile, we don’t have long to wait to find out what’s next for the murderous duo and their mysterious neighbour, with Penn Badgley (Joe Goldberg) and Victoria Pedretti (Love Quinn) reprising their now-famous roles.
