Carrie Bickmore Announces Beanies 4 Brain Cancer Has Raised $1 Million

She triumphantly announced on The Project that the initiative has hit its target

Carrie Bickmore made an exciting announcement on The Project last night – after almost a year since launching Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer, the initiative has hit her goal of making $1 million for researchers of brain cancer.

Carrie announced the launch of Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer late last year. She made headlines at the Logies ceremony when she wore a beanie on stage while accepting the Gold Logie and talking about her late husband, Greg Lange, who died from the disease in 2010.

The foundation has raised $1.1 million since its launch, and Carrie Bickmore tearfully thanked everyone for their support.

“I want to say to anybody who is suffering from brain cancer right now, we will use this money, and I will use it to try and make your future brighter, so that is what I promise you we’ll do.”

There was so much demand for the beanies that they have now sold out, and Carrie said next time they’ll order ‘three times as many’!

“To each and every one of you who have bought a beanie, seeing all the pics coming up on social media, families and babies and kids and, you know, I don’t know any of you, but I feel like I know you all,” she said. “So thank you very, very much.”

Well done Carrie!
