9 Celebrities With Secret Instagram Accounts

Meghan Markle isn't the only one going undercover

For any celebrity, social media is the cornerstone of your influence, especially in a digital zeitgeist mandated by followers and likes. It’s no secret that being a world-famous Instagram star comes with a plethora of perks, however, when you have millions of followers observing your every move, flying under the radar can be a little bit difficult at times. So, what do you do when you don’t want the public getting their hands on your personal pics? You go undercover and create a secret Instagram account. It seems like many of Hollywood’s megastars are doing just that in hopes of attaining some level of normality and privacy in their lives, and to be honest we can’t really blame them.

From Ariana Grande to Sophie Turner, we’ve dug up the not-so-secret, secret Instagram accounts created by celebrities who thought they could discreetly partake in the wonderful world of social media. Until now.

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid’s fabulously stylish, blonde alter ego, Rebekkah Harajuku, made her Instagram debut in April 2018 documenting the model’s time in Japan. The Victoria’s Secret model hasn’t been active on the account ever since but we’re hoping Rebekkah will make her triumphant return sometime soon.

Cole Sprouse

We all know that Riverdale star Cole Sprouse is the ultimate social media savage. But what you may not know is that he has another Instagram account where he unashamedly takes his savagery to the next level. In typical Cole form, his account consists of photographs of fans sneakily trying to photograph him. So, if you try and take a photo of him out in public be sure that he’ll get you back one way or another.

Demi Lovato

It was the celebrity Instagram account that wasn’t supposed to be found however fans were convinced that Demi Lovato had a private Instagram account after being presented with two pieces of convincing evidence. The numbers in the username corresponded with the singers own birthdate, August 20, 1992. In addition to this, Demi, along with some of her famous friends – including Lauren Jauregui and Nick Jonas – also followed the account before it was made public.

After appearing on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show in 2017, Lorde revealed she was the mastermind behind the account @onionringsworldwide. The account featured photographs of onion rings alongside a brief description and rating from 1 to 5. The songstress explained that she “didn’t realise it was going to be a thing” before being outed by New Zealand’s NewsHub. Sadly, the account has now been shut down.

Sophie Turner

You may be wondering, what does Sophie Turner do when she isn’t spending time with hubby-to-be Joe Jonas or commanding armies as Sansa Stark? For those of you who aren’t already aware, she rates sausages! Following in the footsteps of Lorde, the Game Of Thrones actress has a separate Insta account dedicated to reviewing sausages. As you do.

Justin Bieber

Last year, eagle-eyed Bieber fans were quick to discover that the popstar had created his own side Instagram account which documented his Coachella experience.

Mac Miller

After his passing, fans of the late Mac Miller uncovered the rappers secret Instagram account where his alter ego, Lars, would post videos dedicated to vape tricks.

Ariana Grande

This account may not be a secret but we can’t help but cue the collective awws every time Ariana Grande posts on behalf of her adorable pet piglet, Piggy Smallz. It’s safe to say that Piggy Smallz has already achieved Instagram stardom with over half a million followers and counting.
