Karl Lagerfeld Transforms Paris Into Ancient Greece For Chanel’s Cruise 2018 Show

Yet another incredible set from the iconic designer.

Chanel’s iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld is known for his extravagant runway shows – who could forget the giant rocket ship at Paris fashion week last season? Or the time he created a Chanel airport terminal inside the Grand Palais?

For the French houses Cruise 2018 collection, Lagerfeld may have stayed in Paris – instead of traipsing the streets of Cuba again or flying the collection to Dubai – but guests were transported to Ancient Greece upon stepping inside the Grand Palais.

The runway was dressed with pillars and ancient ruins, while models donned bright Greek sandals, gold accents and one-shouldered silhouettes.

Notably missing from the show were Chanel favourites Kendall Jenner, Lily-Rose Depp and Cara Delevingne (who all attended the Met Gala in New York on Monday).

So instead of one of his model muses, Lagerfeld walked the finale with adorable 8-year-old Hudson Kroenig.
