When it comes to kicking butt in Hollywood, Elizabeth Banks is your woman. She's an actor, director and producer, and delivers box-office gold.
So it’s only fitting that Banks has taken up the challenge of bringing the story of our favourite kickass trio, Charlie’s Angels, to the big screen… again.
Sony Pictures has announced the Charlie’s Angels reboot will be directed by Banks and released in June, 2019, Hollywood Reporter notes.
The original 1976 series starred icons Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith—who gave thousands of women some serious hair envy.
Banks is a fine choice for the project, having directed Pitch Perfect 2.
There’s no news yet who will star in the Charlie's Angel's 2019 reboot—and whether Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Lu will make an appearance.
Yet another question we have: will Destiny’s Child offer their talents to the soundtrack like they did in 2000, à la 'Independent Women'? We can only hope!
