Stop everything, because we've got major news: Australian cherry flavoured gin now exists, and we're buying ten cases. Larrikin Gin has embraced a new, unique taste by breathing new fruitiness into their iconic Scoundrel gin, with the perfect blend of Morello and sweet cherries incorporated into their new seasonal release, 'Cherry Lush.'
Described as the bad boys of the cherry world, Morello has been highly prized by brewers, chefs, gourmands and now distillers. They have a deep, intense darkness in colour and flavour with a superb dry tartness too. Yes, please!
The Morellos are combined with the delectable charms of regular sweet cherries. These little beauties were soaked in premium Larrikin gin until absolutely ready to burst with lascivious intent.
The ruby-red gin has been bottled at 28%, delivering a smooth finish that is set to infuse all your senses with initial cherry sweetness followed by hints of tartness from the Morellos. Whilst bold in flavour, ‘Cherry Lush’ can be enjoyed either straight or mixed, serving as the perfect addition to your favourite fruit cocktails.
Scott Wilson-Browne of Larrikin Gin said about the newest addition, “Our Cherry Lush is one of those sinful indulgences that you want to share but it’s so hard too! Then again, you deserve a lush reward now and then, right?”
