Couple Who Miraculously Survived Las Vegas Shooting Killed In Car Crash

They died just weeks after the mass shooting

A California couple who survived the Las Vegas mass shooting on October 1 has lost their lives in a tragic car crash.

As AP reports, Dennis and Lorraine Carver died on October 16 after their car collided with a metal gate outside their community in Riverside County.

Just days earlier, the couple miraculously managed to flee from gunfire from shooter Stephen Paddock at the Route 91 Harvest festival. Dennis reportedly shielded Lorraine’s body to protect her from bullets before they managed to run away.

The pair’s 20-year-old daughter Brooke Carver told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that her parents had cherished their weeks together after the horrific mass shooting.

“That’s just the kind of love they had for each other,” she said.

“After the shooting, they heard from all of the people they cared about most. They were so happy…I swear they were more in love those two weeks than the last 20 years.”

16-year-old daughter Madison added: “We’ve found some peace in knowing that our parents just loved each other so much that they had to go at the same time”.
