Naturally, looking back at their time together came with some sadness, at least for Aniston.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she revealed that she had to remove herself from the reunion several times because she was overcome with emotions. And in a separate interview with E! News, she explained that at one point, they were all crying non-stop.
“It was unbelievable. It was so emotional. It’s an unscripted reunion, but we got to be on Stage 24 for the first time, all of us in, like, I forgot how many years. 15 years? 17 years?,” Cox said while on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Bringing up her memory issues once again, she reiterated to DeGeneres that her memory fails her, and she struggled to remember the famous scenes replayed on the reunion.
“Oh, God, I have the worst memory. Everything came up that I forgot about,” she said.
And she's not the only cast member who struggled to remember what took place on screen. Perry, who struggled with addiction while filming the show, also admitted that it left him he's missing years of his life, including his time on the sitcom.
“I don’t remember three years of it. So none of those… Somewhere between Season 3 and 6… I was a little out of it.”
While the cast of Friends might not remember filming before legions of viewers, millions of fans around the world will never forget—and will never stop reminding them of that.
