There’s a new celebrity couple in our midst: following weeks of speculation, multiple sources have confirmed that Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin are “definitely dating.”
The Fifty Shades of Grey actress and Coldplay frontman were first rumoured to be seeing each other after they were spotted on a dinner date in New York in October. PEOPLE magazine later confirmed the romance, before Johnson confirmed it in her own way: by flying all the way to Argentina just to watch her beau’s concert.
“They’ve gotten to know each other really well and are very comfortable [with] one another. Chris sends Dakota his music to get her opinion. It’s more than just a fling,” an insider told Us Weekly.
Most recently, the two lovebirds were spotted attending a Nick Cave concert in Israel before heading out to dinner with the singer.
“They came in and they were really, really nice, like extremely nice. It was a surprise,” an eyewitness told Us. “They sat with Nick Cave too,” they continued, before noting the pair didn’t show any PDA.
Martin was previously married to Gwyneth Paltrow before “consciously uncoupling” with the actress in 2014. Paltrow and Martin share two children together, Apple, 13, and Moses, 11, and remain on good terms – Paltrow even shared an Instagram with Martin and her new fiancé, Brad Falchuk, having brunch together recently.
The Coldplay frontman later dated Jennifer Lawrence and Peaky Blinders star Annabelle Wallis, while Johnson was previously on-and-off with model and singer Matthew Hitt.
