Now, unsurprisingly, Johnson has created yet another Twitter frenzy, only this time it involves citrus fruit.
To take you back, in March 2020 the actress gave an Architectural Digest house tour, in which, while touring her kitchen, she told the audience she "loved limes."
At the time, lockdowns and shopping frenzies had just become our new norms, and Johnson brought comfort by waxing poetic about her love of limes while standing in her enviable green kitchen.
"I love limes, I love them. They're great. I love them so much and I like to present them like this in my house," she confessed during the viral tour.
But, alas we'd been duped! Deceived! And as some on Twitter are saying, betrayed! For the truth would eventually come out, those weren't Johnson's limes at all, in fact, she doesn't just not like limes, she's allergic to them.
Appearing on a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actress revealed that she had lied about loving the citrus fruit during that interview.
"I'm actually allergic to limes. I'm mildly allergic to limes and honeydew melon," she told Fallon, noting that limes make her "tongue itch."
Naturally, people wanted answers.
The 31-year-old admitted that she had no idea the limes were going to be placed in the kitchen ahead of the tour and said it was "hard to ignore them, so I just lied."
Safe to say, the Johnson standom are currently spiraling:
Honestly, what is one to believe now?
