The latest season of Dancing With The Stars is just over a week in, and we’ve already seen this year’s breakout performance—and no, it’s wasn’t from any of the returning All-Stars.
Taking to Instagram following Sunday night’s episode, the Channel 7 series posted a performance that didn’t make it to air, which showed Bec Hewitt’s 10-year-old daughter Ava taking to the dance floor.
Proving talent really does run in the family, Ava’s show-stopping routine scored tens all around from the judges, while proud parents Bec and Lleyton cheered from the sidelines.
“Our little Ava doing her thing! @avasydneyofficial we’re so proud!” the tennis pro wrote, while fellow contestant and former Bachelor Matty J added, “It’s a 10 from me.”

Following the performance, Bec took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of herself with Ava prior to the performance. “Me and my mini me,” she captioned the adorable snap.
It’s also not the first time Ava has proved she’s destined for a career on stage, regularly dropping videos of her incredible dance moves on her official Instagram page (which now boasts more than 11,000 followers), and even made her TV debut last year for an advertising campaign with Target.
“Had the best time filming this TVC for @targetaus. How gorgeous is the Kelpie?!”, Ava wrote to social media at the time.
It certainly looks like the middle Hewitt is following in her mum’s footsteps, with Bec having landed her breakout role as Hayley Smith on Home And Away when she was just 15.
We suspect big things are coming Ava’s way!
