With the Australian reality TV circuit headed towards the annual Christmas break drought, news of what we can look forward to come the new year is welcome information.
And while, yes, the impending season of Married At First Sight and The Bachelorette are exciting enough to whet our appetite, there’s one reality show that fans are particularly eager to tune into—Dancing With The Stars.
Given the last successful season of its All Stars instalment, it only made sense to bring back our favourite celebrities to see who will win the competition—thanks to a dramatic tango or a romantic foxtrot—and prove their dancing prowess once and for all.
Hosted by ballroom dancing veterans Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger, Dancing With The Stars: All Stars 2022 will host its famous judging panel of Todd McKenney, Helen Richey, Paul Mercurio and Mark Wilson.
“The first season of All Stars was the perfect mix of entertainment, celebrity and fierce competition, proving a stand-out hit with Australian audiences,” Seven Network Programming Director, Angus Ross, said.
“We have a fantastic cast ready to hit the dance floor for season two. With a history of multiple perfect scores in the ranks, it’s going to be a brilliant series.”
As for which household names will be returning to the small screen—and to give the dance floor one last spin—it’s safe to say, next year’s line up will be far from disappointing.
From Aussie legends to returning favourites, there’s plenty of nostalgia on offer this time around. Below, we’ve rounded up the entire cast of Dancing With The Stars: All Stars 2022.
Bridie Carter
First up is Carter, who fans of Home and Away and McLeod’s Daughters may recognise from her famous roles on both.
Ricki-Lee Coulter
Following Carter is one of Australia’s favourite Australian Idol alumni. The singer-songwriter is also known for her iconic stint in girl group Young Divas, alongside fellow cast members Jessica Mauboy and Paulini.
Grant Denyer
Joining Coulter is television host Grant Denyer, known mostly for his role as the MC of Family Feud and winning over the nation’s hearts during his appearance on I’m A Celebrity.
Kylie Gillies
Television presenter for the Seven Network, Gillies is best known for her role as the co-host of The Morning Show with Larry Emdur.
Courtney Act
National royalty, Courtney Act is an Australian drag queen, singer and television personality. She first came to prominence competing on the first season of Australian Idol in 2003 and later appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race season six.
Anthony Koutoufides
Koutoufides is a retired AFL player with the Carlton Football Club. He was considered as one of the most athletic players of all-time, playing almost every position and often being called the prototype of the modern footballer.
Olympia Valance
David Rodan
A Fijian Australian AFL umpire and a retired player who played for the Richmond Tigers, Port Adelaide Power and the Melbourne Demons, Rodan is the first Fijian-born player to reach 100 AFL games.
Rob Mills
An Australian actor, television host and singer-songwriter, Mills was also another Australian Idol alum. Since then, he co-hosted the late-night quiz show The Mint, and was a regular on the game show The Singing Bee.
Angie Kent
An Australian television personality, Kent was first known for appearing alongside Yvie Jones on Gogglebox Australia from 2015 to 2018. Since then, she has appeared on I’m A Celebrity and was The Bachelorette in 2019.
Sam Mac
An Australian television host, weather presenter, and entertainer, Mac was a 2019 Gold Logie Nominee and is currently the weather presenter on Seven Network’s breakfast show Sunrise.
Kris Smith
An English Australian model and television presenter, Smith was also a former professional rugby league footballer and is set to take to the dance floor again.
Deni Hines
An Australian solo artist who has been releasing music since the early 1990s, Hines has celebrated chart success in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe. She is the daughter of famous musician, Marcia Hines.
Cameron Daddo
An Australian actor, musician and presenter, Daddo is most known for hosting dating game show Perfect Match Australia from 1987 to 1988. After moving to Los Angeles, he played Brian Peterson in soap opera Models Inc.
