David Beckham Meets Emilia Clarke, Proves Even Celebrities Get Starstruck Sometimes

The former footballer is a serious 'Game Of Thrones' fan

David Beckham just proved that even celebrities get starstruck every once in a while after bumping into Emilia Clarke at a Fleetwood Mac concert in San Francisco.

The former footballer eagerly took to Instagram to share a photograph of himself alongside Clarke at the starry gig – reminding us once again that he’s a huge Game Of Thrones fan.

Refusing to play things cool, Beckham captioned the post: “Again I was a little starstruck whist being in the same vicinity of the Mother Of Dragons… So nice to see @emilia_clarke in San Fran whilst being wowed by Fleetwood Mac 🔥#dreamforce2019.”

It seems the actress was also thrilled to be there, but was far more interested in meeting singer Stevie Nicks – thanking Beckham for “capturing the greatest moment” of her life so far.

Alongside a series of images and clips from the evening out, the 33-year-old wrote: “NO BIG DEAL… Stevie just wanted to say hi… ON STAGE. @stevienicks I LOVE YOU.”

“Thank you @davidbeckham for capturing the greatest moment of my life thus far…”

Clarke recently opened up about the pressures she felt while filming cult series Game Of Thrones which came to an end earlier this year.

During an appearance on Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert, the actress, who famously played Daenerys Targaryen in the award-winning show, spoke about shooting “terrifying” nude scenes.

“I’ve never been on a film set like this before,” she said. “I’d been on a film set twice before then, and I’m now on a film set completely naked with all of these people, and I don’t know what I’m meant to do, and I don’t know what’s expected of me, and I don’t know what you want, and I don’t know what I want.”

“Regardless of there being nudity or not, I would have spent that first season thinking I’m not worthy of requiring anything, I’m not worthy of needing anything at all…” she continued. “Whatever I’m feeling is wrong, I’m gonna cry in the bathroom and then I’m gonna come back and we’re gonna do the scene and it’s gonna be completely fine.”

The actress, who is currently starring in Last Christmas, then went on to explain that she has since learned the power of saying no at work.

“I’ve had fights on set before where I’m like, ‘No, the sheet stays up’, and they’re like, ‘You don’t wanna disappoint your Game of Thrones fans’. And I’m like, ‘F**k you’.”

She added: “I’m a lot more savvy [now] with what I’m comfortable with, and what I am okay with doing.”
