Demi Lovato Just Served As Bridesmaid For Her Childhood Best Friend

Five months on from her accidental overdose Demi Lovato is looking happy and healthy. The 26-year-old singer made a special return to share a photo from her childhood best friend’s wedding.

Giving fans a glimpse of her glamorous hair and make-up, Demi wrote: “I was a bridesmaid yesterday for my sister/ former babysitter/friend of 23 years,” Lovato captioned the photo of herself on Monday. “What a perfect wedding for a perfect couple!!”

The Sober singer’s navy blue bridesmaid dress can just be seen in her selfie. Her return to social media has been gradual after being hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai in L.A. for 12 days following a drug overdose at her Hollywood Hills home last July. Lovato then sought in-patient treatment and is reportedly dating 27-year-old clothing designer Henry Levy. A source told E! News that he is “serving as her sober companion.”

While it was initially reported the 25-year-old had taken heroin propr to her hospitalisation sources close to Demi told People, “some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”

Taking to Instagram, the Sober singer wrote, “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”

Lovato continued, “I want to thank God for keeping me alive and well,” she added, before praising her fans for standing by her through this difficult time.

“To my fans, I am forever grateful for all of your love and support throughout this past week and beyond. Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time.”
