Their latest savoir-faire video, called Toile De Jouy Silk Scarf Savoir-Faire, the House of Dior offers a glimpse into the impeccable craftsmanship that goes into the latest accessory from their Autumn Winter 2021-2022 ready-to-wear collection.

Using the work of Italian artist Pietro Ruffo, pen engraving is used to intricately sketch his work onto fabric by the artist himself, before they are sent to the silk-screening process.

Depicting the processes of silk bathing and hand cutting techniques, the savoir-faire video documents the sheer craftsmanship that goes into the delicately hand rolled and seamed silk scarves.

Each silk square is steamed, frayed and hemmed by hand, with the artists of the Dior atelier demonstrating the French maison’s impeccable attention to detail and dedication to excellence. And quite honestly, did we expect any less?
