Bridesmaid Dresses For Dogs Exist, So You Furry Best Friend Can Join You On Your Big Day

They may steal the show!

If you’re getting married soon and hoping to have your furry best friend attend the ceremony you’re in luck: You can now get a dog bridesmaid dress made specially for you and your furry friend.

Made by Birmingham, UK-based Etsy shop The Posh Paws Company will make your puppy fit right in with the rest of your wedding party – whether they’re up there beside you or just a member of the crowd.

It’s not uncommon for pet owners to want to include their pet in their wedding.  Indeed, pet-friendly weddings were one of the biggest nuptial trends of 2018, per Etsy and after seeing the dress we can see why.

Posh Paws’ take on the idea is made of satin and has a classic, ball gown-like cut to it. It’s got a little collar, slightly puffed sleeves, and a long skirt, with a bow at the waist, and the skirt even has a little crinoline stitched into it to give some fullness. A slit in the back of the bodice also makes sure you can fasten a leash to a harness through the dress if needed.

Finally, the dress comes with a matching satin bow to complete the look.

What’s better? The dress comes in 12 different colours so no matter what your given colour palette your pupper can match. Choose from cream, orange, pale pink, pale blue, navy blue, olive green, mustard yellow, dark grey, silver grey, plum, brown, and ivory.

The Posh Paws Company describes their product even further on their site, writing, “Our beautifully handmade bridesmaid gowns [are] created with detailed collar, fully lined bodice. Shoulder is finished with gathered frill to give the impression of fitted sleeves. The bottom is a full-bodied skirt, rounded off and tapered into the underbelly, with layers of netting to promote fullness in skirt. There is a bow at the waist with tales.”

If you do decide you want to dress your pup up for your special day, we ask just one thing: Please send pictures.
