President Donald Trump Has Confirmed That He’s Tested Positive To COVID-19

The U.S. President confirmed his diagnosis on Twitter

U.S. President Donald Trump has confirmed that he and wife Melania have both tested positive for COVID-19.

Making the announcement via Twitter on October 2, the news comes soon after Trump announced that his senior aid Hope Hicks had tested positive for the virus.

“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately,” he said. “We will get through this TOGETHER!”

Since the announcement, First Lady Melania Trump has also confirmed that they are currently quarantining at their home.

“As too many Americans have done this year, @potus & I are quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19,” she announced on Twitter. “We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements.”

“Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together.”

As well as the President himself, one of his personal valets has also tested positive along with Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is currently dating Mr Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr.

Trump has recently been keeping an intense travel schedule across the country, among large crowds of people in preparation for the U.S. Presidential election on November 3.

However, if the U.S. President becomes too ill to lead the United States, his vice president Mike Pence will take his place. And if Pence is also incapacitated, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would be the most likely person to take over.
