In yet another flawless bid to strike a chord with parents across the globe, the mother-of-three appears in a video shared on the official Kensington Palace Instagram account.

A far cry from the failsafe clip of a recent speech or regal engagement often used by members of the royal family, the 38-year-old speaks directly to the camera about her ongoing campaign, ‘5 Big Questions’ – a UK-wide survey on the under-fives.

“Parents, families, and carers are at the heart of raising the next generation, and that’s why I felt so passionate about listening to them and listening to your thoughts and your views on how best we can support you going forward,” she says during the video.

“That’s why I have launched the ‘5 Big Questions’, to hear from as many people from society as possible.”

The clip also showcases footage of the royal visiting schools across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales as part of the project.

So far, the campaign has proven to be a huge success as more than 200,000 people have already filled in the survey despite a February 21 deadline.

The impassioned message comes a mere few days after the Duchess of Cambridge spoke openly about the challenges of raising three children – from the guilt that comes with missing the school run to her “terrifying” Lindo Wing exit with firstborn, Prince George.

The Duchess of Cambridge also took the opportunity to share the joys of motherhood, revealing her favourite photograph of Princess Charlotte.

“I’ve got this one photo of Charlotte smelling a bluebell, and it’s moments like that which mean so much to me as a parent,” the royal revealed. “I try everyday to put moments like that in even if I don’t have time… but that in an ideal world is what I would like to do.”
