The Duchess of Cambridge also touched upon the mental health of workers, adding that it must be difficult for those battling the pandemic to get the support they need, as she said: "It must be so hard."
Earlier this week, the royal couple spoke about these challenges and revealed that they have been in regular contact with mental health organisations, including Mind and Place2Be, to understand the issues faced by NHS workers during this difficult time.
In photographs shared via their Instagram account, the royal duo can be seen speaking on the phone at their royal residence.
"Self-isolation and social distancing can pose huge challenges to our mental health - in recent weeks The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been in regular contact with organisations and patronages to understand the issues they are facing during this difficult time," the caption reads.
The Cambridge children have also shown their support in recent weeks, as Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis all participated in the UK's #ClapForOurCarers campaign.
